O grupo Yosai Soran de dança Yosakoi Soran, idealizada pelos alunos do Curso de Japonês da Universidade Estadual do Ceará, foi criado no dia 14 de setembro de 2007.
Embora tenha sido criado recentemente, o grupo já foi convidado para se apresentar em vários eventos, dentre eles, se destacam o 6º Concurso Regional de Oratória em Língua Japonesa, promovido pela Fundação Japão, e o Undokai, promovido pelo Instituto Cultural Nipo Brasileiro do Ceará. No dia 20 de janeiro o grupo também se apresentou no SANA FEST, primeiro evento do ano no estado que marcou o início das comemorações do centenário da imigração japonesa.
Mais recentemente o grupo viajou para Canoa Quebrada no litoral leste do Ceará, onde realizou uma pequena oficina com crianças residentes na pequena vila de pescadores chamada Estevão.
